Our approach

Our approach is based on a strong, collaborative relationship between architect and client. We explore the client’s needs from every angle, and work side by side with the client to create a design built around those needs. We do not restrict ourselves to any particular style. Instead, we look at each new project from the client’s perspective and allow the design to grow from the nature of the site, the brief requirements and budget.

Our approach is also based on sound knowledge of construction techniques and technologies. Our experience in the construction industry ensures that our designs are practical, cost-effective and sustainable.

Why use an architect?

  • You want to create something special; unique and personal.
  • You want to work with somebody who thinks laterally and creatively beyond your immediate requirements.
  • You want to maximise the potential and value of your property.
  • You want one person to guide and manage you through the complexities of the planning system.

Working with us

We believe the architect’s role is to guide the client through the development process, rather than create a design for them in isolation. Our designs are based on a comprehensive understanding of how people feel and behave in different spaces, as well as on aesthetic value. We believe the briefing stage of the project to be a vital part of the design process. It is here that the architect gains a clear understanding of the underlying needs as well as the immediate requirements.

Our scope of service extends across the whole development process:

  • Development of a design brief
  • Presentation of development options (including outline costing)
  • Feasibility studies
  • Planning application and liaison with planning authorities
  • Detailed design
  • Building regulations application
  • Code for Sustainable Homes
  • Advice on selection of renewable energy sources
  • Preparation of tenders
  • Tender review and support for contractor selection
  • Party Wall Notices
  • Site supervision
  • Interior design

You do not have to commit to the full scope of services. We can provide consulting advice on specific stages if required. In general, the earlier the architect is involved, the greater the potential to enhance cost-effectiveness through creative design.

We work with a wide range of other specialists, including structural engineers, quantity surveyors and energy, environmental and planning consultants to ensure that the client has access to quality services.
